About the Cover:
The new Merkat (Market) Cross monument by Gerald Ogilvie Laing, in Inverness, Scotland, is featured on our cover. The Scottish unicorn rears atop a 37 foot sandstone obelisk. A falcon in four successive stages of its attacking maneuver spirals down the column. The unicorn was cast by Laing’s son’s Black Isle Bronze foundry. Photography for both the cover and our frontispiece is by Eric Ellington Photography, who also sent photograph images from Scotland for our Volume XXVI, Number 1 issue of Blue Unicorn.
